It won’t be easy
, but This Tuesday, tomorrow, we will be three weeks away from the Presidential election. Tomorrow will also be the day when I will be mailing my absentee ballot, because I will be not in the United States in November. Full disclosure: I will be voting for Kamala Harris, but I am afraid the result will be a close call.
I don’t think she is the ideal candidate, but electing the other guy would be just too horrible for the country and the world. I just find it unbelievable that people at this point are still hemming and hawing and complaining that Kamala Harris didn’t fully explain her position on this topic and that other topic.
The truth of the matter is that there is no ideal candidate. But just look at what the alternative is: Trump is a man who lost the election in 2020 and incited a mob in an attempt to stay in power by any means, a man who took government papers to his Mar-a-Lago mansion and refused to return them, a man convicted by a jury of his fellow citizens on 34 criminal counts, a man who wanted the State of Georgia to “find” 12,000 votes to keep him in power, a man whose whole life has been one of cheating and misleading people, a man who has repeatedly abused women and insulted minorities and, to make matters worse, a man who has become so incoherent in his rallies as to make it highly probable that he is in the throes of mental problems… Is this maniac the man people want back in the White House?
Kamala Harris is not the ideal candidate. But the alternative is just too awful to comtemplate.
